The following BMI Weight Busters's programs are designed to help improve your BMI health risks and promote overall life-long physical and emotional wellness.

24 Week Medically Managed Weight Loss Program- (BMI of 25 and greater)

This complete comprehensive program is designed to help you attain permanent weight loss over a lifetime. You have a choice of entering one of two treatment programs. Both programs include a comprehensive health and fitness assessment with the Physician, Behavioral Health Counselor, Nutritionist and Exercise Fitness Specialist. Treatment therapies are personalized to meet individual needs and support sensible diet, exercise, and behavior modification strategies to help achieve desired weight loss and fitness goals.

Both 24 week weight loss programs include:
  • (1) BMI Weight Buster's "tool kit" (Health and fitness journal, pen and pedometer)
  • (1) Medical consultation and evaluation with Bariatric Weight Loss Physician
  • (9) Follow-up visits with Bariatric Weight Loss Physician
  • (5) One hour consultations with Behavioral Counselor
  • (14) Follow-up sessions with Behavioral Counselor
  • (1) One hour consultation with Licensed Clinical Nutritionist
  • (2) Body Composition Analyses
  • (6) Follow-up sessions with Licensed Clinical Nutritionist
  • (1) One hour fitness assessment/evaluation with a Certified Fitness Trainer
  • (3) Follow-up fitness assessments/evaluations with a Certified Fitness Trainer
    Optional: (10) personal individual training sessions with a Certified Fitness Trainer
  • (3) Cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility fitness assessments
  • (5) Follow-up sessions with a specialist of choice (Behavior Counselor, Clinical Nutritionist, or Fitness trainer
Pre-Surgery Weight Loss Program for Bariatric Surgery Patients- (BMI of 35 and greater)

This program is designed for individuals who have made the decision to move forward with weight loss surgery. It sets the tone for lifestyle changes that are necessary to achieve optimal post-operative results. This program may meet the medically managed dieting requirements necessary for obtaining approval from insurance companies for weight loss surgery.

Initial Consultation Includes:

  • (1) Medical consultation and evaluation with Bariatric Weight Loss Physician
  • (1) Consultation with Licensed Clinical Nutritionist
  • (1) Consultation with Behaivoral Health Counselor
Treatment Phase Includes:
  • Monthly follow-up visit with Bariatric Weight Loss Physician
  • Monthly follow-up with Clinical Nutritionist
  • Monthly follow-up with Behavioral Health Counselor

Weight Loss Surgery Program- (BMI of 35 and greater)

The weight loss surgery program is intended for those individuals who suffer from "clinical severe" obesity. Dr. Heydari performs the Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, and the Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band procedures. These bariatric surgeries are offered through Centegra Health System's Bariatric Center for New Hope. This fully supported, comprehensive, multi-disciplinary team ensures a successful post-operative experience for our patients. Post Weight Loss Surgery Program - "Connect and Reclaim" (BMI of 25 and greater)

The "honeymoon" phase is over, and life's little challenges have made reaching and/or maintaining weight loss goals following surgical treatment very difficult. In this 8 week program post-weight loss surgery patients learn how to successfully Re-Connect with themselves and their surgical "tool" (i.e. Lap-Band, Gastric Bypass, Duodenal Switch, etc.), and start implementing measures that Reclaim the control they feel is now slowly slipping away.

Program Includes:
  • (1) BMI Weight Buster's "tool kit" (Health and fitness journal, pen and pedometer)
  • (1) Consultation/evaluation with Bariatric Surgeon
  • (1) Follow-up consultation with Bariatric Surgeon
  • (1) Consultation with Clinical Nutritionist
  • (3) Follow-up visits with Clinical Nutritionist
  • (1) Consultation with Certified Fitness Trainer
  • (1) Body Composition Analysis
  • (6) Behavior modification consultations with Behavioral Counselor
  • Weekly weigh-in with Healthcare Specialist
  • (Optional) Long-term follow-up with Bariatric Surgeon (subject to additional fees)

Nutritional Therapies for Chronic Illness- (Any BMI)

Good nutrition is a vital part to battling disease. We offer nutritional counseling to those who suffer from a variety of chronic illnesses (i.e. cancer, bowel dysfunction, intestinal disease, malabsorption, infections, auto-immune diseases, etc.)

Initial Consultation includes:

  • (1) Consultation/evaluation with a Physician
  • (1) One hour consultation with the Clinical Nutritionist
Follow-up visits are tailored to patient's individual needs


Treatment of Eating Disorders: (Any BMI)

There are a variety of reasons why eating disorders plague many individuals struggling to gain control over their weight and lives. Through cognitive behavioral therapy in conjunction with nutritional counseling we work to get to the root of the problem in order to overcome and exchange unhealthy eating habits for healthy ones.
  • (1) Consultation/evaluation with a Physician
  • (1) One hour consultation with the Behavioral Counselor
  • (1) One hour consultation with the Clinical Nutritionist
Follow-up visits are tailored to patient individual needs

Life Long Follow-up Program- (Any BMI)
Obesity is a chronic disease that has no real "cure". Breaking the cycle that limits success requires commitment to life long follow-up. After completing any of our comprehensive weight loss treatment programs you are provided the opportunity to continue routine follow-up care with our team. Regular follow-up maintains accountability for the decisions made that ultimately affect the ability to reach and maintain health and fitness goals for life.
